Today we started looking at how we draw things as drawing is considered a very valuable tool in sharing our understanding within the Reggio philosophy. Today I began by asking the children to draw a picture of a tree, once they had done this we went outside and looked at a tree. We talked about all of the different parts and shapes we could see. The children then sitting around the bottom of the tree drew another picture of a tree using their observations. The children were very pleased with their observational drawings and even praised each other for different aspects.
